The Ambiance Design Studio specializes in a variety of creative art forms, including commissioned paintings, murals, and decorative faux finishes. We serve both residential and commercial clients to create unique, customized finishes that will transform your ordinary surfaces into extraordinary works of art.

We are located in Westland, Michigan and work primarily throughout the Southeastern Michigan area. Additionally, we can provide services outside these areas, depending on the scope of the project.

Shadia Zayed began painting at a very young age and has since been engrossed in a wide variety of creative endeavors. She completed several large murals while still in highschool, and was involved in several fine art shows throughout college. In 1998 she completed her Bachelor of Fine Art degree at Eastern Michigan University. Her love of all things art soon led to an interest in faux and decorative painting. She received formal training in the decorative arts at the Faux Design Studio School of Decorative Arts in Illinois. She views all surfaces as potential 'canvasses' waiting to be transformed, and strives continuously to create new and interesting ways to incorporate art into every-day surroundings.
